| Laboratory Services |
An in-house laboratory
is used for routine tests, from fecal exams and
heartworm tests for parasites to presurgical testing
of kidney and liver
function. We also routinely analyze urine specimens
in our laboratory.
Our outside reference laboratories provide extensive
diagnostic tests
within a few hours. |
| Radiology/Ultrasound |
We are able to provide
the full range of services from the survey
radiographs for injuries, to OFA certification radiographs
and contrast
urinary and gastrointestinal studies. Board certified
veterinary
radiologists provide radiographic consultation and ultrasound
diagnosis. |
| Endoscopy |
We utilize endoscopy
to aid in our diagnosis. It provides a unique
opportuity to visualize hollow organs. It can be used
when radiographs
and ultrasound fail to provide a diagnosis. Endoscopy
can also be used as
an alternative to surgery for obtaining some types of
biopsies and
retrieving foreign objects. |
| ECG |
Electrocardiograms
(ECG) are routinely done on preanesthetic patients
admitted for surgeries and dentals. The ECG readings are
transmitted to
specialists in New York via phone when needed. |
