<? echo $title ?>Surgical Care

Webster Groves Animal Hospital & Urgent Care Center is fully equipped to provide your pet with the best veterinary surgical care possible. Our state-of-the-art surgical suite can accommodate most surgical procedures, from routine spay/neuter surgeries to more complex soft-tissue and emergency procedures. Preanesthetic blood panels and electrocardiograms are available and used to ensure your pet's safety under anesthesia. A specific anesthetic protocol is uniquely tailored to the health and physical condition of your pet. Every pet receives a pre-operative pain injection to assist in pain as they recover from anesthesia.

Laser Surgery

Laser surgery is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. In many procedures, lasers replace scalpels and are useful for a wide range of conditions such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and even can be used in declaw surgeries. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce the risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.

Webster Groves Animal Hospital & Urgent Care Center maintains a small supply of blood for cats and dogs in case a transfusion is required during surgery or in the event of an emergency. All blood is carefully pre-screened for disease.

Emergency Care

Because medical emergencies don't stick to a 9-to-5 schedule, Webster Groves Animal Hospital & Urgent Care Center is open 365 days a year, with convenient hours for you and your pet. There are no additional fees for late-night or weekend appointments, and only a small additional charge if no appointment is made. In the event of a surgical emergency, we have doctors and surgery technicians on call at all times to ensure the very best care for your pet.

Webster Groves Animal Hospital & Urgent Care Center is also equipped with an emergency power generator. In the event of a major power outage, we can continue hospital operations as normal. This ensures uninterrupted care for our patients, no matter how bad the weather. Our emergency generator allows us to maintain care for our hospitalized patients as well as perform everyday functions such as radiology, ultrasound and surgery.
